My employer uses Konkel for our payroll and unknown to all employees, (our boss does not hand out or give access to our pay stubs - until I made him aware of the law this month), Konkel apparently didn't update his accounting software for 2017 and even the beginning of 2018. When I tried to do my taxes, (I was a new employee that started just prior to the start of 2017 - this would be my first full year), even though I claimed zero on my W-4 all year for both federal and state and I'm single with no dependants or tax liability, I OWED IN TO BOTH STATE & FEDERAL!! When I checked with my boss on my pay stubs it was clearly printed Fed 0 / WI 0. He called and emailed Mark several times within that next 5 weeks and it took him 5 weeks to finally admit that there was an error on his end, (which I have in writing), and it still took another call or two to get him to fix it so the proper amount was being taken out of our 2018 pay. Who knows how long this would have continued. Due to the two wrongs, (wrong taxes withheld according to my W-4 & my employer not handing out our giving proper access to pay stubs per Wisconsin law, I am now consulting with an attorney and have been told by the Wisconsin Labor Standards and the IRS itself to file a fraud complaint with the IRS.

Been with them for 20 years. Would have liked to keep our mortgage with them but very limited condo options.
